The third Strategic Orientation Committee (SOC) on the new 2021-2027 European funds programmation was held Thursday October 21st at the préfecture of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin in the presence of Monsieur le Préfet, Monsieur le Secrétaire Général et Monsieur le Président de la Collectivité. Some representatives from the services de l’État, some collectivité service directors and cabinet members, some representatives of local institutions as well as the Secrétaire Général pour les Affaires Régionales de la préfecture de Guadeloupe were also in attendance.
This committee which aims to finalise the redaction of the programmes for the territory is of strategic importance for Saint-Martin. The attendees, under the chairmanship of the Préfet, debated among other issues on the financial envelopes allocated to the territory and the investment priorities that will be financed by the 4 European financial instruments that are managed by the State, managing authority for these programmes : the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the European Social Fund (ESF), the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
The next SOC will take place during the first quarter of 2022.
